As fall turns to winter, it’s nice to be able to whip up a cozy, satisfying meal with just a few basic ingredients. Fresh eggs, crusty leftover bread, locally made cheese, and some delicious kale from the Winter Farmers’ Market. Turns those ingredients into a strata (layered casserole) and the day gets even better.

Thanks to Kristen, author of the blog The Endless Meal, comfort food has arrived. She was kind enough to share her recipe for Gruyère, White Cheddar and Kale Strata and we think it’s simply divine.
