“Chestnuts roasting on an open fire…” You’re familiar with the song but have you ever actually roasted a chestnut in winter? After a lifetime of passing holiday bins filled with chestnuts after at the local farm, we finally decided to bring some home.

We discovered that chestnuts trees have an interesting history and the nuts they produce are high in fiber, minerals and surprisingly, rich in vitamin C. The information is good to know, but the question is, how do we roast them?

Thankfully, Sini, author of the beautiful blog My Blue and White Kitchen, is here to help. You can find her easy and fun recipe for roasted chestnuts by clicking here.

Enjoy!
