Repeating Events

This is how you enter an event that runs over multiple days:


Let’s take a sample event: The Newport Jazz Festival August 3-August 6


It’s one event
It starts on August 3 and runs for 3 additional days.


Because it’s a single repeating event, you enter the start date as August 3
You also enter the end the end date as August 3


Then, you turn on “This is a Repeating Event” and select

Daily
Gaps between repeats: 1
Number of repeats: 3


This means: It’s one event that starts on August 3 and then repeats 3 times.
Now it shows up on the calendar on August 3, 4, 5, and 6.

Here’s an example of a Pancake Festival  that starts on April 21 and ends on August 24.

Let’s take a sample event: The Downcity Providence Food Tour


It’s one event that runs weekly –  every Friday between April 20 and November 17 from 12:00-3:15.
It starts on April 20 and runs every Friday for 30 weeks.


Because it’s a single repeating event, you enter the start date as April 20
You also enter the end the end date as April 20


Then, you turn on “This is a Repeating Event” and select

Weekly
Gaps between repeats: 1
Number of repeats: 30


This means: It’s one event that starts on April 20 and then repeats weekly 30 times.
